Phnom Penh and Siem Reap Highlights, 4 Day Tour

Your driver will pick you up from the airport and bring you to your hotel. Once you are settled they will take you on a tour of the Capitol. First up is a visit to the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda located on its grounds. From there it is off to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum previously known as S-21. Then to the Pagoda at Wat Phnom, where Phnom Penh takes its name. After that it is time for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, then your driver will drop you at your hotel.

On your second day your driver will drop you at the airport for your morning flight to Siem Reap. There you will be picked up by your new driver/guide for a tour of the temples of Preah Ko, Bakon, and Lolei, then drop you at your hotel to get checked in and have some lunch. After your break you are off to the stunning Ta Prohm Temple, made famous in the film Tomb Raider. The nearby temples of Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado, will be visited next. You will enjoy a wonderful dinner accompanied by Traditional Khmer Apsara Dance before returning to your hotel.

Your third day starts with a visit to the ancient capitol of Angkor Thom with a special view of the statues of the South Gate, the smiling faces on the towers of Bayon Temple, and the Royal Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. After yet another delicious lunch you are off to visit the main temple of Angkor Wat, this is what you came all this way for and it is well worth it. You will enjoy the sunset from Phnom Bakheng, one of the hills dominating the plain of Angkor, and have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat. After sunset your driver will return you to your hotel and you are free to make dinner arrangements on your own.

On your final day with us your driver will take you to the pier, then accompany you on your boat trip to see the Floating Village on Lake Tonle Sap. You will be amazed at how life is lived floating on the lake, everything from markets to schools and clinics are accomodated, come appreciate this unique way of life. Our final stop is at the wonderful Artisans Angkor, a shop that teaches traditional Khmer handcrafts such as Lacquering, and Silver Plating, Silk Painting and Wood and Stone Carving. If you find something to your fancy, the proceeds go to paying a fair wage and keeping the Centre running. Finally, your driver will drop you at the airport for your return flight to *Phnom Penh.

*Optional, if you would like to spend more time in Siem Reap, or Cambodia in general either with us or on your own, you are welcome to. We can deduct the return flight cost to Phnom Penh , or change it for a later date, it is up to you. Any additional costs will of course be borne by you.
