Private One Day Trip To Banteay Srei, Beng Mealea and Rolous

Your accessible, but off the beaten track tour begins with your guide picking you up from your guesthouse or hotel and bringing you to Banteay Srei, with its carvings in pink sandstone. This unusual 10th century complex is in the Angkorian style but in miniature compared to Angkor Wat.  Next is the largely unrestored and relatively unvisited Beng Mealea, a fascinating spot the jungle is still trying to reclaim. We will break for a lunch of local Khmer delicacies.

After lunch its off to the group of temples collectively know as Roluos. These are some of the earliest temples built by the Khmer Empire and dating to the 9th century. Constructed of sandstone or brick, they are in a similar vein to many later temples, however they are interesting in their own right. From Preah Ko, noted for its bull statues, to the step pyramid of Bakong, and the Towers of Lolei. Finishing your day your guide will return you to your accomodation.
