Bamboo Train Battambang
The Bamboo Train was conceived as a way to utilize Cambodia's abandoned railway lines in an area with poor roads. Constructed by people living trackside, these lightweight vehicles allowed transport of anything that would fit on them, including Humans, Rice, and Water Buffalo. Today the Bamboo Train is run as a tourist service between Phnom Banan, with its Angkorian temple, and the Commune of Chhoeuteal.
