Battambang

Ek Phnom Temple

The 11th century Temple of Ek Phnom lies just 10 kilometres from the city of Battambang. The Angkorian buildings at this originally Hindu site lie mostly in ruin, but with many of its excellent bas-reliefs still intact, including a depiction of the Churning of the Sea of milk. There is also a modern Buddhist Temple which receives visitors during holidays.
