Banteay Prey Nokor
The 12th century temple complex of Banteay Prey Nokor is just 2 kilometres from the town of Kompong Cham. Built by Jayavarman Vll from Black Sandstone, it is a bit different, a bit unusual, from most of its Brick or Laterite contemporaries. It has been continually built upon (with breaks during the war) since its inception until today, so you will find modern Buddhas along with ancient carvings.
