Banteay Srei Temple
The 10th century Temple of Banteay Srei, the Citadel of Women, is exquisitely carved in Red Sandstone. As a Hindu Temple it remained in use until probably the 14th century, when it was seemingly abandoned. It was lost to the jungle until 1914 when it was rediscovered and restoration work was undertaken. The Bas Reliefs here are unmatched elsewhere.
