Angkor Wat: Private 2 Day Temple Sunrise and Sunset Tour

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to Angkor Thom, known for its stone carvings of Gods and Demons. With its many towers and intricately carved reliefs, this is a fascinating place. Most of the temple has been restored, however trees still grow through sections of it. After a delicious lunch of Khmer cuisine you are off to Banteay Srei. Its bas-reliefs are often considered the finest of their type in Cambodia. As this was constructed as a Hindu temple the carvings represent Shiva, as well as many other deities. You will end your day watching the sunset from Pre Rub.

Day two is an early start so we can catch the Sunrise on the eastern side of Angkor Wat. We will wait expectantly as a gentle glow envelops the mighty ruins. After that it's time for breakfast. Then the crumbling temple of Preah Khan, choked by tree roots. Another delicious Khmer lunch is followed by a visit to Ta Prohm, which once had a population of about 80,000 in its combined monatery, school, and govenrment complexes. The ruins here are incredible, and were made famous by featuring in the film Tomb Raider.
