Half Day Private Tour of the Kampot Countryside

After pickup from your hotel we head to the Salt Fields, here you can see traditional Sea Salt harvesting the way it has been done for thousands of years. Slow solar evaporation causes the salt to precipitate out of the seawater, then it is scooped out and further dried for use.

From there it is off to Phnom Chhnork with its 7th century Hindu temple situated in a cave. The temple itself is quite small, and constructed of red brick with a Linga inside.

Then to the Secret Lake, this is a lovely spot surrounded by mountains and fed by springs and small creeks. This picturesque lake is rich in plant and birdlife.

Onwards to La Plantation Pepper Plantation for a tour of how Pepper is grown and processed. Here our tour is finished, however La Plantation has an excellent restaurant and you may have lunch there if you wish (at your cost) before your guide returns you to your hotel in Kampot.
